About our ride
In honor of 13-year-old Jesse Alswager, who passed away in February 2010 from complications with type 1 diabetes, my boyfriend, Sean Busby, and I rode in a century ride through Death Valley, California for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. We collectively raised $6,000 to both fund our rides and fund research to find a cure.
