In honor of 13-year-old Jesse Alswager, who passed away in February 2010 from complications with type 1 diabetes, my boyfriend, Sean Busby, and I are riding 105 miles in Death Valley, California through the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Before October, we’re working to raise $3,000 to both fund our rides and fund research to find a cure.
